We admit it…we like talking about roofing. It’s our business, and whenever anyone calls us up we’re more than happy to discuss the roof repair or installation they need. And here’s something else we’ll admit…we think we’re pretty darn good at roofing. We hire the best roofers available so that more people can experience an amazing roofing experience that comes off without a hitch.

Whoa, there’s a lot to unpack there, Sarah! Let’s take it point by point and respond to what you’ve written.

We know that customer service is a big part of taking care of our customers. A roof replacement is a huge outlay of money, and customers want to be kept informed about the status of their new roof. And if insurance is involved, people are always interested in knowing “where we are” with the insurance company. We stay on top of the situation, because we want you to get a new roof to protect your home as quickly as possible.

First of all, you’re our customer, so there’s really no point in making you feel stupid. Second, we realized long ago that what’s commonplace to us might be completely new to someone else. Not many people are involved in the roofing industry, and materials such as flashing and bituminous waterproofing aren’t materials that are used much outside of home repair. Every job has its specialized tools, and if we showed up at a doctor’s office and didn’t know what a laryngoscope was, we hope they’d explain it to us in an understanding manner.

We’re glad you picked up on that. The fact is, we’re in this business for the long haul, and we’re going to treat our customers well and do what we say. Roofing Companies who don’t adhere to that simple rule aren’t going to last long.

We’re glad you noticed how clean everything was when we left. Everyone wants the best roof, but a clean yard that you can walk through freely without having to worry about stepping on a nail is equally important!

Roofs that are simply worn due to age — say, 20 years or so — don’t often need much repair beyond simple roof replacement. But roofs that have gone neglected for 40 years or those that have suffered extreme weather damage tend to allow the elements in too easily, resulting in leaking and damage to the underlying roof. We’re going to discuss this a bit more in an upcoming blog, but rest assured that we’re not going to put the roof on until the wooden supports of your home have been given a thorough inspection.
